Welcome

There are so many things that public libraries in the United States offer. Seemingly, many would like to take a chance on the information roulette wheel and try a keyword search on Google or the myriad others vying for the Search Engine championship.

Let me be the first to admit (yes I am a librarian) that you can find some quality information by tossing out a few keywords. If nothing else, the links returned are interesting and sometimes entertaining. So, I'm not hear to rant against search engines, but merely to mention a few other ways to get information freely and in most cases quickly from your public library. The information from our resources are fully vetted (a fancy word that means that we or another professional or expert in the field has reviewed the information for authenticity and accuracy).

Henderson Libraries in Henderson, Nevada have a wealth of information available to our local residents and to our virtual visitors. We are very similar to libraries in your neck of the woods. So if we don't have it, take a look and see what your local library has to offer.

Publiclibraries.com is a handy way of finding a library in your area.
